This is a record of what we read on the official site and when, including the places where two official pages disagree. It is not a news feed and we do not invent entries to fill it.

The dated entries below record earlier policy readings and changes to this guide. Check the current official terms before paying for an optional service.

| The measurement fee halved, from 3 CNY to 1.5 CNY The homepage feature list read 3 CNY for measurement on request when we first went through it on 2026-08-04. On a scheduled re-read it says, in the same sentence and the same card, that only 1.5cny handling fee is charged. Nothing else in that card changed. | The lost parcel payout is stated two different ways On the insurance policy page, the prose describes a lost parcel as refunding the shipping fee, the service fee and half the value of the parcel. The reimbursement table lower down the same page gives 33 percent for basic cover. Both are currently published. | The freight calculator is public, with no login The cost calculator at basetao.com renders and accepts input without an account, which is not true of every agent. It takes goods value in CNY, total weight in grams and a destination, and returns one line per shipping way with the service fee, customs fee and shipping fee shown separately. | Two banned lists, and only one mentions laptops The purchasing restrictions on the FAQ page and the forwarding restrictions on the make a parcel page are different lists. Computers, laptops, cellphones and the 1.5 metre size limit appear only on the forwarding side. Anyone reading only the FAQ would not know that. | Ways an order goes wrong | |
| Inspection excludes colour, size and function, in writing The inspection standards page states that colour difference and actual size are not in the inspection scope, and that for electronic and digital products the check is external only with no power on, so functional issues are not covered by the insurance. | Storage is 120 days, and ends in disposal The storage page gives 120 free days, then states that with no shipping request and no feedback Basetao will assume the order is abandoned and reserves the right to dispose of the parcel without further notice. Entries are dated by the day we read the page, not by the day Basetao changed anything. We have no way to see their edit history.
How this log is meant to work
Every factual claim on this site carries the date we last read its source. When we re-read a page and something has moved, the change lands here with the new date, and the page that carried the old number gets corrected the same day.
We do not publish an entry because the calendar says it is time. An empty month means nothing changed that we noticed, which is the honest answer.
